Our Mfazazana board shorts are inspired by the Mfazazana point break in rural KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Cut snug around the waist, but loose where it matters for extra movement, the Mfazazana is styled from a two way stretch, cotton, polyester, spandex mix fabric. It is designed to fade naturally and styled for natural performance. Using 80g saddle thread Mami Wata triple stitches all the main seams and double stitches the hems, creating garments that are built to last and survive your African surf adventures.
Designed, developed and manufactured here in Africa, the Mfazazana features our iconic Shields pattern, a print inspired by surf boards, leaves and Zulu shields, and featuring the strong black lines seen across the continent from Ndebele art to African barber shop poster designs.
We say buy them a little tight, as like jeans, the cotton will give a little over time.
